Thylacine roadkill in Queensland, Australia?
A reader-contributed article at cryptozoology.com talks of a thylacine-like road killed animal found between Warwick and Stanthorpe near the NSW / Qld border in Australia.

The creature was described as "about two or three feet long ... a tawny color, with a canine shape and triangular ears ... [and] it had blacky-brown stripes going down it's back"
